The Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is about building disciplined, aligned and purpose-driven organizations. Having found success with the system ourselves, Endeavor Bank CEO Dan Yates and President Steve Sefton organized a Business Owner Forum to share about EOS.

To bring the concept to life, we invited EOS Implementers Ron Harrell and Ray Adler to walk Dan, Steve and the CEO of Crowe PR, Anna Crowe, through their experiences with EOS so that audience members could evaluate whether EOS is right for their businesses.

Ron and Ray explained that EOS emphasizes six key components—vision, people, data, issues, process and traction, with a goal of becoming 80% strong in each area to maximize growth, efficiency and culture. The system’s Vision/Traction Organizer (VTO) tool helps teams align around eight key questions.

Anna shared about how EOS helped Crowe PR reduce employee burnout by streamlining reporting processes. For Endeavor Bank EOS was crucial for managing Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the pandemic.

The panelists agreed that EOS helped them simplify complexities, optimize hiring and personnel decisions and enhance communication. EOS software like Ninety.io or EOS One helps with visibility and accountability, they added, as does running consistent quarterly and weekly meetings.

Anna praised the system for helping her firm move from reactive decision-making to intentional planning. For Endeavor Bank, EOS helped add structure and prioritization to its roadmap for expansion.

Ray emphasized that employees are empowered through EOS to raise and solve issues through the IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve) framework, fostering transparency and accountability at every level.
